The beautiful benefits of a bedjacket!

Evoking the glamour of old Hollywood , the bedjacket as seen on screen would be a froth of silky satin & lace . With quilted satin  fabrics or delicate crochet and knitted designs, featuring lashings of lace and all tied up with a silky bow , they complemented a bias-cut shimmering silky nightgown perfectly. Picture if you will Joan Crawford or Maureen O’Hara lounging in bed looking utterly fabulous in marabou & ruched silk

These days we love our wardrobe to be versatile, and that’s when a bedjacket can shine.  A pretty delicate knitted bedjacket  could wear beautifully when enjoying breakfast outside or as a  stylish summers evening cover-up whilst enjoying a barbeque. Our Angeline bedjacket would fit the bill perfectly. Or try our printed fleece Lucy bedjacket designs as an  extra cosy cardigan or under the raincoat  layer in those cooler months.  Ideal for travel too, they fold up considerably smaller that a dressing-gown so can be easily popped on during a flight or when in an air-conditioned hotel.
Perfect for relaxing in bed reading or catching up on telly, the neat hip length  is easy to to wear. There’s none of that extra fabric of a dressing gown or housecoat getting in your way!  This makes a bedjacket ideal for hospital stays or care residents . Keeping the top half super-cosy  and the added benefit of easy  dressing and there’s often an handy pocket for personal items too.

Most Bedjackets are designed with cosy and neat long sleeves. A collar, be it a neat Peter Pan or shawl style, brings focus to the face with a  cheerful embroidery or contrast satin trims.  There’s stand collars too, for an extra cosy finish to the neckline. Why not try a contemporary style collarless bedjacket?

There’s a variey of fabrics to choose from. Easy-care waffle,  plain or printed easy-care fleece so cosy and warm, have you tried our embossed fleece? Carefully made so the interior is soft and furry yet theres a distinctly clipped pattern on the outside, very stylish!
Mock quilt is another popular choice. With a knit fabric base  cleverly constructed to evoke the classic quilted look , the double layer adds more warmth without weight and its so easy to launder!
My personal favourite would be the beautiful knitted bedjacket designs, with a delicate lacy finish and neat collar they are pretty and cosy too.
